When your general dentist recommends periodontics or implant dentistry, you may feel a little apprehensive. But with Dr. Laro, Dr. Poston, and Dr. Wade, that doesn’t need to be the case. Your kind Charleston periodontists have created a warm and caring environment for each of our patients to thrive in.

Sedation dentistry refers to our experts providing options to help you feel more at ease during your dental treatment. We are able to cater to patients with low, moderate, or high anxiety levels. Sedation may also be administered during more complex or time-consuming procedures to ensure you are comfortable at all times.

All of our periodontists are experienced with sedation dentistry and will take time to explain each option and answer any questions.

You’ll feel right at home in our office as we take time to get to know you and gauge your comfort level. If you are feeling nervous or suffer from dental anxiety, our team can offer a few sedation solutions to help you relax.

Our Charleston Sedation Options

Each solution is decided based on your individual needs, specific treatment, and comfort level.

IV Sedation
For our more anxious patients and complex procedures, we offer moderate to deep IV sedation. This solution is applied directly to your circulatory system and has been known to allow patients to sleep through their visit.

All of our sedation dentistry options are safe and will only be administered by trained professionals. Our experienced team will monitor you at all times when you are under the effects of sedation.

Everyone in this office is a prime employee. They are always helpful and so friendly. Dr. Laro is at the top of the line. He is kind, considerate, and so gentle. He is a very caring doctor and I have referred him to others. Thank you to this entire office for wonderful visits. I am always relaxed and at peace there.
