About Dr. Laro...

Dr. Jeff Laro is originally from Connecticut and attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina. Afterward, he did post-doctoral training at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Returning to MUSC, he received his specialty certificate in Periodontics and then went to the University of Texas Houston, Health Science Center to complete a dental implant fellowship.

Dr. Laro is a fellow of the American College of Dentistry, a past-president of both the South Carolina Society of Periodontists and the Coastal District Dental Association, and a member of both the American and South Carolina Dental Associations. He is active locally with a number of charitable organizations and is in charge of the student mentoring program at MUSC.  He focuses on dental implants to help patients to preserve jawbone, replace missing teeth, and secure loose dentures. Dr. Laro and his wife, Jackie, are the parents of three wonderful boys.
